FRIDAY! October 11, 2024, BBC will be meeting at: Canela Cafe and Boswell Book Company!

  • 9:00 am – Meet at Canela Cafe: 2621 N Downer Ave Milwaukee, WI  53211 (Google Maps  |  Apple Maps) for breakfast.

  • 10:30ish – We will walk two blocks to Boswell Book Company where we will use the books as inspiration to create our own book covers on iPads. (Boswell is an amazing community bookstore! You might want to bring additional money to pick up your next great reading adventure!)

Program Description

Older students…you're invited to hang with us!

Grab your favorite tea or coffee beverage for a virtual meet-up on Friday mornings. And on the second Friday of the month, we get together for an in-person breakfast and an activity. 

These live and real-time chats are tailored for young adults 18+. Discussions will touch on daily living skills including health and nutrition, finances, job searches, community engagement, and more. Facilitated by special education professionals and interns, participants have the opportunity to meet with their peers and grow together by building a community of mutual support.

Individuals who are 18+ that are interested in an online social community and looking for opportunities for learning skills for independence.
